Those lovely folk from Louder Than War came down to London’s Buffalo Bar last night for the launch party of our debut album ‘Heartache and Fear’. (which you can buy by clicking on that link)
Here’s some of the words they said…
‘They may take much of their lead from the gloriously earnest years of great British indie, but there’s a crack of light shining through Tape The Radio as well. It’s that dichotomy that we like.’

We’ve just had another great 8/10 review in The Shuttle, which is the local paper in my home town, Kidderminster. They don’t even know I’m from there….Might have to let them know!! MC x
Here it is……
Rating: 8/10 (Review by Mike Fletcher) Tape The Radio - Heartache And Fear Taping the radio was a painstaking process, attempting to finish your recording without an annoying jingle or presenter’s voice coming in to spoil your favourite track. Considering it took London-based trio Tape The Radio three tricky years to put together their debut album, suddenly their name seems very apt. Heartache And Fear shows their hard work has paid off, though, with plenty of variety in sound and tempo. The Message is reminiscent of the Manics, Shaking Hearts has a hint of Feeder about it, while former single Our Love Is A Broken Heart is similar to Stereophonics’ early stuff. Fans of White Lies may prefer edgier tracks such as Save A Life, but there is plenty here for any indie-rock lover.
